Atlas Please is the brand new stand-alone single from Gengahr. Produced by Jack Steadman (Bombay Bicycle Club, Mr Jukes), Atlas Please is their first collaborative effort, and stands as one of the band's most accomplished pieces of work to date. The song, premiered by Radio 1's Jack Saunders as his very first Tune of the Week, marries swirling lo-fi instrumentation and production with shimmering pop idealism giving an intriguing new direction to their illuminating, forward thinking indie rock.
Of the track, vocalist and guitarist Felix Bushe offers:
"'Atlas Please' is us considering that our lasting memories are the ones shared in good company - although, at times it can feel as though the weight of the world is resting on your shoulders. Talking to friends and considering our own personal experiences, we’re mindful that we often find it easier to suffer in silence than to open up - so being able to identify when someone you care about is hurting and to make the time to help them is an incredibly important and powerful thing to do.”
