Calpurnia will release their EP in June and there is a new song out today too

Calpurnia's rapid ascension continues with news that we'll be releasing their debut EP in June! It's called Scout, features City Boy and a new song you can hear today called Louie.

Scout is going to be available on 12" green vinyl, CD and digitally - all now ready to pre-order.

"Louie is the lively and colourful product of a studio transformation. This track features [Twin Peaks’] Colin Croom on piano, with himself and Cadien Lake James contributing the choir-boy harmonies and backing vocals that come in as the song builds. It was definitely the intention to record a song that sounded as live as possible, and we sincerely hope that this energy comes through to the listener when you listen to this track.

The lyrics are written from the perspective of a guy who always leaves his partner, and though she does everything she can to hold down the fort at home, he never shows up. The guitar solo is meant to convey the longing she feels for him to come home, and the loneliness she feels without him at her
side."
