Today sees the release of Autumn De Wilde's new adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Emma', featuring Johnny Flynn in the role of George Knightley.
We're proud to announce the release of 'Queen Bee', an original song from Johnny which concludes the film. Listen to Queen Bee here.
A romantic and revealing song highlighting Knightley’s true feelings for Emma, 'Queen Bee' follows Johnny's other score work for Film, TV, Radio and Theatre including the much-loved music (alongside Dan Michaelson) for the BBC’s 'Detectorists' and his score for 'A Bag of Hammers'. Last month his collaboration with playwright Robert Hudson 'Magnitsky The Musical' for BBC Radio 3 was broadcast (now on the sounds app) and recently produced music for the stage productions of 'True West' (in which he also starred) and a new children’s musical version of Julia Donaldson’s 'Zog'. His other composition work includes various radio dramas and a production of 'As You Like It' at the Globe, composed for period instruments.
Johnny is currently working on a fifth studio album to follow up 'Sillion'. His last release was the career spanning double album 'Live At The Roundhouse'.
