Mutual Benefit starts a US & UK tour in August, and there are new live films to watch too

Mutual Benefit has confirmed a huge tour of North America and the UK to start at the end of August, and tickets go on sale this Friday (29 June). In anticipation of what are certainly going to be some beautiful performances, the band got together to record live films of New History and Storm Cellar Heart - the first two songs released from the album so far.

The intimate performances were filmed in Jordan Lee's (aka Mutual Benefit) apartment by filmmaker Eric Jenkins-Sahlin, and feature a band comprising Johanne Swanson, Eva Goodman, Molly Fletcher, Gabriel Birnbaum and Emily Reo.

"I wanted to make a stripped-down video that captured the essence of the band. Having a bunch of friends over for dinner and then recording music together seemed like a good way to achieve that. Everyone performing has an inspiring solo project well worth checking out so I was elated that they could all join me to make these songs come alive. Hopefully the warmth of the moment comes across and not just the heat of our sweltering apartment."

Watch them both below and if you haven't already, be sure to pre-order Thunder Follows The Light.
