Marika Hackman - I’m Not Your Man Out Now

To complete the set, BoyfriendMy Lover CindyCigarette and Violet are now joined by the rest of the album - I'm Not Your Man is out today! We really hope you enjoy it. The music is available in all the usual places, so you can stream it straight away on the likes of Spotify and Apple Music, alternatively grab a CD (still a few signed ones remaining), or the gatefold orange vinyl - if you are in the Americas you'll be able to get Sub Pop's loser edition with a green/orange swirl vinyl instead.

Keep an eye out for the bundle options too, there is a 'Marika Hackman' cactus, litho print of the amazing artwork and some tees too.

All the links to the music are collated here.

Having started to manage her at the beginning of last year, it's so exciting to be able to get this album out there, it's produced by Charlie Andrew (alt-J) and features The Big Moon playing the parts written by Marika. A few reviews have started to come in, and the response seems overwhelmingly positive!

"it’s melodically strong and full of surprises, which is more than you can say for most young British indie-rock albums of the last few years. Most of those records lack killer hooks; Hackman has many."
Laura Snapes, from a 7.5 review in Pitchfork

"a proper stomping pop star, all sharp suits and songs that brood with breakup angst and simmer with sexuality"
Kate Hutchinson, from a ★★★★ review in The Guardian

"an album that dazzles and welcomes anyone in with open arms (...) naturally moreish and rich, ‘I’m Not Your Man’ is Marika Hackman’s ticket to the big time"
Jamie Muir, from a ★★★★ review in Dork

There a few videos to go with the music too, most recently one for My Lover Cindy, directed by Sam Bailey of Francobollo (who joined Marika on tour this month). Then there is the video for Boyfriend directed by Libby Burke Wilde, plus versions of Violet and My Lover Cindy recorded in her bedroom - they can all be seen on Marika's VEVO Channel

The artwork is totally stunning, painted by Tristan Piggot and given a first look by the Creative Review, it can also be explored in an interactive website built by Ben Elwyn.
