In The Deepest is again part of the on going collaboration between Johnny Flynn and the director Simon Ryninks, that has already brought the videos for Wandering Aengus and Raising The Dead.
"Johnny has imbued In The Deepest with a sense of ominous dread which I've tried to visualise. The video's concept grew out of that and a general feeling of anxiety. The video is about finding hope in other people who share your world view and see things the way you do. The videos for Sillion are part of a wider collaboration between myself, Johnny, and my partner performer/photographer Hanna-Katrina Jedrosz. Each has explored a different theme."
"[In The Deepest has] a sense of foreboding … it has such a sense of maleficent drama to it."
Johnny's most recent tour was short but incredibly sweet, so we're pleased that he's got another run coming - starting in Glasgow on 12 October after his various summer festival appearances. Tickets are on sale now, and you can find the full list of dates here.
