It's been ten years since Flume exploded onto the scene with his unique, highly influential contribution to electronic music. To celebrate this, Flume has just announced a special performance at The Forum in Los Angeles to mark this decade milestone along with an unexpected 10 song album of previously unreleased music created through that decade but until now unreleased.
Titled 'Things Don't Always Go The Way You Plan' Harley described the works as, in fact, "not a new album, but a collection of material that hasn't fit on previous records". According to Streten, much of it was unearthed at the end of 2022 when, after encouragement from fans, he'd dug up a collection of old laptops and ventured in to see what was on there. All are completely unheard until now.
The ten year milestone seemed like a fitting time to share some of this material with fans given fans requests to hear more after the casual release of another early demo 'Slugger 1.4 [2014 Export.WAV] in late 2022 (which landed at #50 in the hottest 100 over the weekend).
