Famy Announce Debut Album ’ We Fam Econo’ And UK Tour

t is with great pleasure we announce 'We Fam Econo' the debut album from our boys, FAMY.

Having received broad support for their introductory first steps and unhinged live shows, FAMY have finally written and recorded an album that eschews easy categorisation, and emotes gloriously from the forlorn to the euphoric.

We Fam Econo features recent single Donkey, and the forthcoming Summer anthem, Ava. The record pairs FAMY's familiar echo-drenched gang vocals with natural reverb to create an inventive, exciting collection of leftfield guitar songs.

All 12 tracks, informed from the bands shared experiences of growing up in the South of France, are difficult to pigeonhole, loose-limbed but swathed in melody and capped by Bruce Yates' wild, off-kilter vocal.

Fans can now pre-order the album along with Volume 1 of the band's own, self-edited fanzine here It features visual documentation donated by Mino Tristovskij, covering the album’s creation, a discussion with the record's producer Miti Adhikari, and words from the band's artist and collaborator, Robert Charles Dunahay.

FAMY said of the fanzine:

“It's good to document things. Our first single came on without great triumph, just when you express yourself things make better sense. And besides, losing a father or girlfriend and desperately loving your friends are excuses enough for art. Or documentary. “Volume 1 is a scrapbook of the history of FAMY leading up to our debut LP. We wanted to present ourselves in a way no-one else can.”

We Fam Econo will be released on the 8th September through Transgressive Records. It was recorded in a working church in Wales, and produced by legendary Radio 1 Maida Vale live engineer Miti Adhikari.
