Today, Boniface releases his new single, Wake Me Back Up - a track we have been so excited about since we heard it in its demo form. Listen here!
The track is accompanied by its video, directed by bandmate and brother, Joey Visser.
Boniface says of the video: “Wake Me Back Up is about feeling you’re on the brink of something significant. In my case it was a relationship, but it could be anything that feels important to you right now. The video was directed by my brother Joey, made with the help of some kind and talented friends. We filmed it in a very hot garage a few weeks back. Actually, the same garage the song was written in a few summers ago.”
Recorded in London earlier this year whilst working on material for his highly-anticipated debut album, Wake Me Back Up is a propulsive, synthpop anthem, co-produced alongside Neil Comber (Glass Animals, Declan McKenna, Gengahr) and featuring a rip roaring guitar solo from fellow Transgressive sibling Ben Gregory of Blaenavon.
The past year has also seen Boniface tour extensively on both sides of the Atlantic, alongside Let’s Eat Grandma, Blaenavon, White Lies, Foals and most recently The Joy Formidable. The band will be joining Circa Waves on their upcoming European tour this October. Full live dates are below, and you can grab your tickets here.
