Blaenavon video for ‘Lonely Side’

Blaenavon's debut album, That's Your Lot, has been out for a couple of weeks now, and we hope you've been continuing to love it! The response has been incredible, and the sell-out tour concluding in a raucous show at Heaven was the perfect release party. However, all that is still just the beginning, and today we have a video for Lonely Side to show. It was shot in the surreal early hours, just after SXSW this year in Austin, TX.

"It's probably about time that I admitted I am a young, ridiculous, romantic buffoon. I am in love with everyone at the same time: but in and out of love constantly - disillusioned like a juvenile James Dean. This is incredibly unhealthy, but also very fucking funny. I will continue to get absolutely everything wrong until I grow old, settle down and die. Until then, I walk the Lonely Side."

Though the band's UK tour is over, there are a couple of chances to catch them live before festivals in this Summer. First, they'll be down at Pie & Vinyl in Portsmouth on Saturday to celebrate Record Store Day. Then, on 10 May, they'll be performing in Blaenavon (South Wales), at the Blaenavon Workmen's Hall with the Blaenavon Male Voice Choir.

"We owe a lot to the people of Blaenavon. We've blatantly ripped them off but they've still always supported us. We've been talking about a show there for years and now seems like the perfect time. Pretty bonkers that the Male Voice Choir are up for it, too. It's going to be the perfect ridiculous celebration of everyone's hard work over the last 5 years. A battle to the death. Blaenavon vs Blaenavon."

Tickets for that show are available from the band's shop, and if you can't make that one, more UK / Europe tour information is coming soon.

Final thing to add, is that if you haven't already got a copy of the band's incredible debut album, you can do so here.
