The Gaggle Christmas Service will act as a preview for Gaggle's eagerly anticipated debut album, due out in early 2012; Gaggle will also be treating audiences to some seasonal surprises. They've have spent the last 18 months dedicated to their reworking of The Brilliant and the Dark - a 1969 cantata for women's voices originally performed by 1,000 women volunteers at the Royal Albert Hall. This show sees a special unique location at the marvellously bizarre and interesting Hackney New Empowering Church space, next to London Fields.

Dry the River have announced details of the release of a debut album. Shallow Bed will be released through RCA Victor on Monday March 5th 2011.
The 11-track album was produced by Peter Katis (The National / Interpol) at his Connecticut home-studio during the summer of 2011.
"We were looking for someone who could strike a balance between lo-fi and hi-fi," says Peter Liddle, Dry the River's lead singer. "We wanted to record the bulk of it to tape, to use analogue stuff in favour of computer wizardry where possible, but without it sounding like an old folk record. I think we tried to preserve the fragility and honesty of the more stripped down tracks, but still get the intensity of the live show across too - to marry those two aspects of our music without it sounding incongruous."

We are both proud and excited to unveil the first song off the forthcoming Pulled Apart By Horses long player 'Tough Love'. The track 'V.E.N.O.M' was produced by the infamous Gil Norton (of Foo Fighters, Pixies and Pale Saints fame), as was the rest of the record.
'Tough Love' is out on the 23rd January, while V.E.N.O.M is released a week earlier (16th January).
